Everest Base Camp Trek ( 14 + Days )

Everest base camp is probably the world’s most desirable trek with many travellers wishing to follow in the footsteps of Hillary and Tenzing into the highest region of the Himalaya. If you’re looking for a challenge with stunning panoramic views of the world’s highest mountain this trek is for you.

Your journey begins with a short but exciting flight to Lukla (2860m) to begin trekking the next day.  The walking starts from Lukla taking you along the Dudh Kosi River and onto a steep ascent to Namche Bazaar normally taking two days. Namche is an old Shepa market town that has now become a hub for trekkers and locals alike. We stay in Namche (3440m) one extra day to acclimatise trekkers plus explore the local area.  Day 3 or 4 you will set off along a high path to the famous Tyangboche and its monastery offering you breath-taking 360 degree views of Mt Everest or Sagamatha as it’s known by the locals. From here you will begin the final part of the trek passing stunning views of the Lhotse Nuptse wall and Ama Dablam along with Buddhist monasteries and temples. The trail ends at Base camp (5364m) with wonderful views of Everest before heading back down to Gorak Shep for the night. The following morning you will trek up to Kala-Patthar (5555m) to enjoy what is said to be the best view point of Mt Everest and the surrounding peaks of Sagamatha national park.

Once you have been overwhelmed by the beauty of the Himalaya and its break taking views you will begin you decent following the same route to Namche Bazzar and onto Lukla.  Here you will take your return flight to Kathmandu for a well-earned rest or we can arrange additional site seeing in Kathmandu.
